Description
Jazzy Baritone semi-hollow body electric ukulele. 19″ scale length.
African Mahogany body with figured walnut top.
Authentic nitro cellulose paint. P90 neck pickup.
Maple neck with Wenge fretboard and bone block markers and walnut veneer headstock. The adjustable trussrod and bolt-on neck make for easy service. Volume and tone knobs. Polished 304 stainless steel hardware.
Our electric ukuleles are ready to rock out of the box, carefully set up with a comfortable low action and no fret buzz.
The semi hollow construction gives this electric ukulele a warm resonance, suitable for Jazz and Blues players. Well suited for use with any standard guitar pedals and any standard electric guitar amp. The semi hollow construction also keeps the weight down to around 3kg with no neck dive at all.
Most of the parts are created in-house from scratch, including the bridge control plate, pickup and the neck. The only outsourced parts are the electronics and the machine-heads.
Hand scatter-wound and wax potted (i.e. soaked in hot bees wax) pickups give our electric ukes a distinctive tone with no unwanted feedback. We use Alnico 5 magnets.
Hand-carved bone nut and wenge/bone saddle.
This instrument uses regular electric guitar strings. We use the top four strings from a set of 11’s but you can experiment with slightly lighter or heavier strings depending on your play style. It holds its tuning stability well with strings from 10 through to 12.
Padded gig bag included.
The woodwork is hand finished and spray painted in house.
Total length: 30.8″ (782mm).
Body Dimensions: 12.1″ x 15″ x 2.1″ (308mm x 382mm x 55mm)
